Inspired by the history and culture of Spain

/n['bi tor] distills the cultural essence of Spain and transforms it into olfactory experiences

The origin of our essence

The brand name and design is /n['bi tor], or, for practical purposes, nBitor.

Seis pequeños frascos de perfume con tapas doradas, cada uno con una etiqueta decorativa.

Our brand stems from a deep admiration for the history and culture of Spain. Few know that it is one of the countries with the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world. Its legacy is immense, and its cultural influence has extended "Plus Ultra," meaning "Beyond," beyond its own borders. The Castilian language, a fundamental part of this heritage, is today one of the most widely spoken and influential languages on the planet.

Our goal is to create a niche-artistic perfume line that represents the true richness of Spain, far removed from the usual clichés. Each of our creations is inspired by a fascinating episode from our past and present: chapters where creativity and exchange shaped a unique cultural profile.

The brand's name and logo draw inspiration from the university tradition of Salamanca. There, for centuries, the word "Vítor" has been painted on the university walls—originally with bull's blood—to celebrate students achieving their highest degree. "Vítor" means victorious, applause, long live! and is also considered one of the world's earliest forms of graffiti. This blend of scholarship, symbolism, and visual language is part of the spirit of /n['bi tor].

The Ñ, our sonic signature

Another important element of the name and logo is inspired by the Spanish language. The most representative symbol of the Spanish language is the letter "Ñ," and for those who understand a bit of phonetics, the letter Ñ is also a nasal consonant, represented by the /n/ sound. In other words, just as we need and use our nose and our sense of smell to perceive and appreciate a scent, we also need to use our nose to produce the actual sound of the Ñ.

Finally, to understand a perfume, we need to understand its language: the notes and accords that compose it. The same is true of spoken language, where we use phonetics and phonology to better understand a language. Phonetics and phonology are extremely crucial for deciphering any language.

Thus, the name ñvítor is transliterated as /n['bi tor] or as explained above, simply nBitor for practical use.

We have dedicated a great deal of love and care to developing the brand and we hope that our creations will transport you on a unique and unforgettable olfactory journey through the history of Spain.
